  The Class of 1941 Endowed Scholarship Fund

  This fund was established by members of the Class of 1941 to provide tuition assistance to deserving students.

  This fund was established by members of the Class of 1956 to provide tuition assistance to deserving students.

  This fund was established by members of the Class of 1957 to provide tuition assistance to deserving students.

  
  

  The Class of 1958 Endowed Scholarship Fund

  As leaders of Alumni Association efforts, hosts of successful class reunions, and as perennial “Gold Standard” supporters of the Gonzaga Fund, the Class of 1958 has been a model of devotion to alma mater. On the occasion of its Fifty Year Jubilee Reunion, the class established an endowed scholarship fund in the memory of their classmate, Dan Slattery.  Over the years, the class continued to build upon this fund by honoring all their deceased classmates. In recognition of exemplary loyalty to one another and to Gonzaga, this fund is now known as The Class of 1958 Endowed Scholarship Fund.

  
  

  The Class of 1963 Endowed Scholarship Fund

  The Gonzaga Class of 1963 recognized the significance of Gonzaga's Bicentennial milestone by uniting to endow a scholarship celebrating the Catholic Jesuit Mission of Eye Street.

  
  

  The Class of 1964 Endowed Scholarship Fund

  This fund was established by members of the Class of 1964 in honor of Gonzaga's 200th anniversary.

  
  

  The Class of 1965 Endowed Scholarship Fund

  The Gonzaga Class of 1965 recognized the significance of Gonzaga's Bicentennial milestone by uniting to endow a scholarship celebrating the Catholic Jesuit Mission of Eye Street.

  
  

  The Class of 1966 Endowed Scholarship Fund

  This fund was established in 1991 by members of the Class of 1966 on the occasion of the twenty-fifth anniversary of their graduation. 

  
  

  The Class of 1968 Endowed Scholarship Fund

  The fund was established by members of the Class of 1968 in 2018 on the occasion of their fiftieth anniversary of their graduation from Gonzaga. The fund provides tuition assistance for graduates of the Washington Jesuit Academy or other deserving Gonzaga students.

  
  

  The Class of 1970 Endowed Scholarship Fund

  This fund was established by members of the Class of 1970 to mark their fiftieth reunion and to recognize Gonzaga's Bicentennial anniversary. In addition, all proceeds from The Daniel L. Shea Classic, a golf tournament played in honor of the late Dan Shea '70, support this fund. Dan Shea's two sons, Brian '06 and Kevin '09, are proud to support Gonzaga through their father's class scholarship fund.

  
  

  The Class of 1971 Endowed Scholarship Fund

  To celebrate their fiftieth reunion during Gonzaga's Bicentennial, members of the Sesquicentennial Class of 1971 established this scholarship fund.

  
  

  The Spirit of '76 Class Endowed Scholarship Fund

  The Class of 1976 (fondly known as the "76ers"), in conjunction with their 45th Reunion and Gonzaga's Bicentennial, joined together to endow a scholarship for need-based financial assistance.

  
  

  The Class of 1992 Endowed Scholarship Fund (NEW)

  The Gonzaga Class of 1992 recognized the significance of Gonzaga's Bicentennial milestone by uniting to endow a scholarship celebrating the Catholic Jesuit Mission of Eye Street.

  
  

  The Bahor-O'Neill Endowed Scholarship Fund

  Established in honor of two formative Gonzaga lacrosse coaches: Peter Bahor (1985-1995) and Casey O'Neill '96 (2001-2021). This fund provides scholarship assistance to students who embody the qualities both coaches instilled in their players, including accountability, teamwork, and perseverance. The Bahor-O'Neill Scholarship fund was initiated by a single generous donation on the occasion of the 1992 Gonzaga Lacrosse Team's enshrinement into the Gonzaga Athletic Hall of Fame in 2016. At the request of the original major donor and of Coach Bahor, the name of the fund has added the name of Coach O'Neill following his retirement from the program in 2021. 

  
  

  The Barnett - Maguire Endowed Scholarship Fund (NEW)

  Tom '60 and his wife, Maggie, endowed this scholarship for deserving young who are also interested in serving our country in the armed forces. In particular, this fund will help military families whose sons are interested in attending the United States service academies. Tom is an alumnus of the United States Naval Academy '64, and their daughter is also a graduate of the USNA. This gift has been made in honor of Tom and Maggies' fathers, who were proud beneficiaries of Jesuit secondary education, namely Thomas E. Barnett a 1933 graduate of Brooklyn Prep and Terrance W. Maguire, a 1934 graduate of Loyola College High School in Maryland.  

  
  

  The Edward J. Berdaus '26 Endowed Scholarship Fund

  The Edward J. Berdaus '26 Scholarship was established by Ella V. Berdaus through a bequest in her will in loving memory of her husband, Edward, to provide financial assistance to a deserving Gonzaga student who has shown that he is willing to do the work required of a Gonzaga education.

  
  

  The Thea Tillie Boone Endowed Scholarship Fund

  Thea Tillie Boone loved all children, but especially her own and her grandchildren. Seven of Tillie's grandsons attended Gonzaga: Erik Boone '99, Matthew O'Connor '05, Keegan Boone '12, Keller Boone '19, Quinn Noyes '19, Grant Noyes '22 and Aiden Boone '22. To honor Tillie's love of children and her strong belief in quality education, her sons Darryl and David, and her grandson, Erik have established an endowed scholarship to provide the opportunity of a Gonzaga education to young men in need of financial assistance for years to come.

  
  

  The Charles W. '35 and Florence N. Boyle, Jr. Endowed Scholarship Fund

  This scholarship was established in honor of Charles Boyle '35 by his sister, Dr. Regis Louise Boyle, to provide scholarship assistance that enables an academically promising student to attend Gonzaga.

  
  

  The J. Chester Brady, M.D. Scholarship Fund

  The Brady Scholarship is made possible through the generosity of Dr. J. Chester Brady to provide scholarship assistance to a deserving student who has shown outstanding promise or distinction.

  
  

  The Vincent C. Burke, Jr. '40 Endowed Scholarship Fund

  Established in honor of Gonzaga’s esteemed alumnus, Vincent C. Burke, Jr. '40, for his many years of leadership and service to the Greater Washington, DC area community, this fully endowed scholarship provides financial assistance for young men who otherwise would be unable to attend Gonzaga.

  
  

  The Max Cacas '72 Endowed Scholarship Fund

  Established in 2015 by family and friends, this endowed scholarship fund celebrates the memory and spirit of Max Cacas, Class of 1972, a loyal Gonzaga alumnus who cherished his classmates and the four years they shared on Eye Street. Max’s scholarship continues to receive generous support from his devoted wife, Lisa Myers, through her annual gifts and a legacy gift to be made through her estate. The scholarship funds are used to support the cost of tuition for deserving Filipino or other minority students.

  This fund is a gift of the Maryland Province of the Society of Jesus. It provides financial assistance to deserving minority students.

  
  

  The Jerry A. Cardarelli '57 Endowed Scholarship Fund

  Established by Kathryn Cardarelli, mother of Jerry ’57 and grandmother of Jerry ’87, through her last will and testament, this scholarship provides the opportunity of a Gonzaga education for a young man of Italian heritage, whose family otherwise could not afford the full cost of tuition.

  
  

  The Carey Family Endowed Scholarship Fund

  Established by Charles ’71 and Kathleen Carey, and supported by other family members, The Carey Family Scholarship provides need-based financial assistance for boys raised in single-parent households. This fund serves to perpetuate a legacy of exemplary loyalty and service to Gonzaga by members of the Carey Family, including Charles ’71 and Kathleen, Harry ’63 and Aurelia (“Riz”), and Brian ’94 and Meg.

  
  

  The Kevin Carmody `62 and Michael Lynn `94 Endowed Scholarship Fund

  This fund was established in 1982 in memory of Kevin W. Carmody of the Class of 1962 by his family and friends. In 2020, the fund was renamed to include the legacy of Michael Lynn '94 who, like Kevin, passed away at a young age. The fund is supported annually by the proceeds of the Carmody Lynn Open Golf Tournament and provides tuition assistance to Gonzaga students without a father present in their lives.

  
  

  The Parkman H. Clancy '38 Endowed Scholarship Fund

  A gift of Parkman H. Clancy, Class of 1938, this scholarship provides financial assistance to a student who otherwise could not afford to attend Gonzaga.

  
  

  The A. James Clark Endowed Scholarship Fund

  Established by the late Washington, D.C. area business leader and philanthropist, A. James Clark, during the Keeping The Promise capital campaign, and supported by the A. James and Alice B. Clark Foundation, this fund provides financial assistance for students who otherwise would be unable to attend Gonzaga.

  
  

  The Francis J. Collins, Sr. Endowed Scholarship Fund

  The fund was established in 1985 by the family of Francis J. Collins, Sr. and Mrs. Catharine Collins, Francis J. Collins, Jr. '56, Maureen McHugh, and friends of Mr. Collins. In view of his faithful devotion to Jesuit education, his wisdom, and his service to the Society of Jesus, Mr. Collins was awarded an honorary degree in 1979 by Gonzaga College High School, proclaiming him a graduate of the College and a member of the Class of 1919.

  
  

  The Cooney Endowed Scholarship Fund

  Manus Cooney '80 established a family scholarship to honor his mother, Claire, and his late father, Dr. Donald Cooney.  

  
  

  The Scotty Cranston '45 Endowed Scholarship Fund (NEW)

  Established in 2022 by Berenice Cranston in loving memory of her husband, the Scotty Cranston ‘45 Endowed Scholarship helps provide a Gonzaga education to a deserving student.  As a basketball and baseball player inducted in the Gonzaga Athletic Hall of Fame in 1990, Scotty was regarded as one of the premier high school athletes of his era. Of him, Gonzaga’s legendary Athletic Moderator and Prefect of Discipline, Father Cornelius A. Herlihy, S.J. said, “When you are talking about Gonzaga’s greatest athletes, you have to include Scotty Cranston.”  Scotty remained devoted to Gonzaga as a father of six children and a successful businessman.

  
  

  The Joseph P. Curseen, Jr. '72 Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund

  Established by his Gonzaga classmates and friends, this fund is in memory of Joseph P. Curseen, Jr. '72, who gave his life in service to America in the wake of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. This scholarship provides financial assistance to a deserving student, with priority given to a young man from Joseph's childhood neighborhood of Southeast Washington, DC.

  
  

  The DeGioia Family Endowed Scholarship

  The DeGioia family endowed a need-based scholarship fund to celebrate the school's Bicentennial, and to honor the Jesuit Community of Gonzaga for their inspiring commitment to the City of Washington. JT DeGioia is a proud member of the Class of 2019.

  
  

  The Dr. John S. Dillon '48 Endowed Scholarship Fund (NEW)

  Dr. Dillon spent his life devoted to his family, his faith, and to serving his numerous patients and his medical students. In 2014, Dr. Dillon received the St. Aloysius Medal for Service to School and Community. A lifelong learner who wholeheartedly was committed to the Gonzaga mission,  John was a proud father of six, including his son John Dillon, an alumnus from the Class of '86, and grandfather to Joseph Kerwin '09,  James Craig '23, & Hartwell Craig '25.

  This scholarship fund was established in 1992 by members of the Donohoe family, one of Gonzaga's oldest and most loyal families.

  
  

  The Rev. Bernard J. Dooley, S.J. Endowed Scholarship Fund

  Established by an anonymous donor with a gift of one million dollars, this fund will keep alive the dream of Gonzaga's esteemed President Emeritus Rev. Bernard J. Dooley, S.J., that Gonzaga forever be a place where all boys, regardless of family resources, can come to learn to be "Men for Others."

  
  

  The Tom '83 & Marsha Dugan Endowed Scholarship Fund

  This fund was established in recognition of the critical boost that a Gonzaga education can provide to the trajectory of a young man's life and, on a broader level, its positive force in promoting socioeconomic mobility. This fund supports students (incoming and current) from economically disadvantaged circumstances in reaping the benefits of a Gonzaga secondary education.

  
  

  The Tommy Dunigan `45 Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund

  The fund was established in memory of Thomas Dunigan of the Class of ’45, who sustained a serious injury in a junior varsity football practice session on November 9, 1943, and died 13 days later. His courage in the face of adversity was an inspiration to all of his classmates. The fund is a gift of Philip N. Daly ’47.

  This fund was established in memory of Gerald W. Farquhar ’47 by his colleagues, friends, and clients at Victor O. Schinnerer Company. This scholarship provides partial financial assistance to a deserving student.

  
  

  The Christopher T. Flannery Endowed Scholarship Fund

  Established by an initial leadership gift from the Flannery family and the Gonzaga Class of 2014, the Christopher T. Flannery Endowed Scholarship Fund was established to perpetuate the memory of Gonzaga’s legendary “Maestro” and provide financial assistance for a deserving boy to attend Gonzaga.

  
  

  The Jonathan Forde '99 Endowed Scholarship Fund

  As a loyal and loving son, brother, boyfriend and friend, Jonathan Forde truly lived by the motto: A Man for Others. Throughout his life he excelled at whatever he committed to doing. In high school, he was a star athlete on the lacrosse team, and in the military, he was a steadfast soldier who led his troops with great courage and fortitude. He wasn't afraid to be a leader, and he always led by example. Jonathan served his country with great honor and bravery as a Staff Sergeant in the Virginia National Guard and was a decorated veteran of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He died while serving his country and will be truly missed by all.

  
  

  The Formant Family Endowed Scholarship Fund

  Established to honor the memory of John C. Formant, Sr. '79, The Formant Family Endowed Scholarship Fund is a fund designated to provide need-based scholarships to young men from DC who express an elevated interest in receiving a Jesuit education. Born in 1961, John was a native Washingtonian who after Gonzaga attended Georgetown University and followed his mother, Angelina Kalavritinos Formant, into the real estate business. John remained a pillar of the DC community for his entire life as a business owner on H St. NE and a proud alumnus of Gonzaga College High School.

  
  

  The John J. Fuller '41 Endowed Scholarship Fund

  This perpetual scholarship fund was established in memory of Ensign John Joseph Fuller '41 by his family. It is available every four years.

  
  

  The Furnary Family Endowed Scholarship Fund

  Established by Steve Furnary '68, with support from his brother Kevin '73 and his four sons (Jeff '03, Grant '06, Josh '09, and Jake '13), this fund endows a scholarship for students deserving of both academic merit and need-based tuition assistance. 

  
  

  The Antonio Godoy '84 Scholarship Fund

  The Class of 1984 established the fund in memory of their classmate, Antonio Godoy, who died suddenly on September 3, 1981.

  
  

  The Good Shepherd Endowed Scholarship Fund

  The Good Shepherd Scholarship Fund was established through the generosity of anonymous donors who are the parents of an alumnus from the Class of 1999. Aid preference goes to a student who seeks a challenging, nurturing, socially-concerned, and faith-filled education at Gonzaga and who is from the Good Shepherd Catholic parish in Alexandria, Virginia.

  
  

  The Thomas and Anne Grant Endowed Scholarship Fund

  Established by Peter M. Grant '74 and Stephen B. Grant '77, the Thomas and Anne Grant Scholarship provides financial assistance to a deserving student residing in Virginia, whose financial circumstances might otherwise preclude enrollment at Gonzaga.

  
  

  The Phillip J. Graham '04 Endowed Scholarship Fund

  Mr. and Mrs. Stephen X. Graham's two sons -- Phillip '04 and Ian '06 -- cherished the friendships forged and the values instilled during their Gonzaga journeys. In June 2022, following Phillip's untimely passing, the Grahams' friends and classmates endowed this scholarship to honor Phillip's legacy.

  
  

  The Geordan G. Harris ’03 Endowed Scholarship Fund

  Established by family, friends, classmates, and colleagues, this scholarship honors the memory of Geordan G. Harris of the Class of 2003. The scholarship provides needed financial assistance for a rising senior and a paid summer internship in the real estate development, construction, or legal field.

  The Matthew A. Heard Fund is made possible through the continuing donations of the Class of 1967 and the family and friends of Matthew A. Heard ’67, and provides tuition assistance to a deserving student.

  
  

  The Henderson Family Endowed Scholarship Fund

  This fund was established by Charles Henderson '63 and his family to provide a quality Jesuit education to a deserving student who would not otherwise be able to attend Gonzaga.

  
  

  The Dr. Timothy Hickey '58 and Sally Hickey Endowed Scholarship Fund

  To celebrate Gonzaga's Bicentennial in 2021, Dr. Hickey and his wife, Sally, established this fund to provide need-based tuition assistance and to further the Catholic Jesuit mission of Gonzaga College

  The Michael D. Hurley '67 Endowed Scholarship Fund

  This fund was established in memory of Michael D. Hurley of the Class of 1967 by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond D. Hurley, and friends of the family.

  
  

  The Geza M. Illes '91 Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund

  Established to perpetuate the memory of Geza M. Illes '91, this endowed fund provides financial assistance to a deserving student who would otherwise be unable to attend Gonzaga. The Geza M. Illes '91 Memorial Scholarship was established from gifts of Geza's family, classmates and friends, most notably Mr. and Mrs. Geza P. Illes, Mr. and Mrs. Gabor J. Kelemen, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Massey, and Mr. and Mrs. John Vardaman.

  
  

  The Mattie E. Jackson Scholarship Fund

  The Jackson family endowed this scholarship in Gonzaga's Bicentennial year in honor of Mattie E. Jackson, a proud Gonzaga mother (Steven E. Jackson '79) and grandmother (Dr. Jonathan M. Jackson '08). A remarkable trustee during the Fr. Dooley era, and a faithful volunteer for many years on Eye Street, Mattie was awarded the Gonzaga Medal, a precursor to the St. Al's Medal, in 1991 for her dedication to "her boys" on Eye Street. The Mattie E. Jackson Endowed Scholarship Fund supports programming and tuition assistance of the Vinco Scholars Program. 

  
  

  The Ronald E. Jerro Endowed Scholarship Fund

  Established by William J. Jerro '90, and supported by family and friends of Gonzaga parent Ronald E. Jerro, this scholarship provides financial assistance to one student each year who otherwise would not be able to afford a Gonzaga education, and who exemplifies Gonzaga's motto of being a "Man for Others."

  
  

  The Kell-Down Endowed Scholarship Fund

  The fund was established by the late Francis X. Downey ’44, in memory of his father and mother to assist a deserving Gonzaga student with tuition.

  
  

  The Lee Kelly Endowed Scholarship Fund

  Established and continually supported by the grateful “rugby family” of former players and their parents, this endowed scholarship fund honors the legendary coach and program organizer known to many as the “Father of Gonzaga Rugby.” Through his selfless approach to coaching and personal commitment that each player succeed to the best of his ability, Gonzaga Rugby became a perennial national high school power. The Lee Kelly Endowed Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to deserving students while emphasizing the values of teamwork and commitment to excellence.

  
  

  The Thomas V. '40 and Michael T. '75 Kelly Endowed Scholarship Fund

  The Michael T. Kelly '75 Scholarship was founded after Mr. Kelly's death in Iraq in 2003 by combining memorial contributions made by David Bradley, CEO of Atlantic Magazine, with funds received through the sale of the book Echo Ever Proudly, edited by Michael Dolan '68 and Paul Warren '68.

  The scholarship was established by Mark Kimsey ’84 to honor his father James V. Kimsey ’57.

  
  

  The Lcdr. Erik S. Kristensen '90, USN, Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund

  This fund was established in Erik's honor by his family, classmates and friends. A true patriot, Erik gave the ultimate sacrifice in defending his nation. As a Gonzaga student, he excelled in the classroom, on the playing field, and in the band while always maintaining a wonderful sense of humor. He truly lived by the Gonzaga motto: a Man for Others. The fund benefits a worthy student who comes from a military family.

  
  

  The Michael Lacovara '81 Endowed Scholarship Fund

  In 2022, Michael's family and friends endowed a scholarship to honor their late husband, son, brother, classmate, friend, father, and colleague in recognition of his rare talents, which he used to benefit so many others. A scholar who completed his academic work at the very top of his class, 1981, and later became a gifted lawyer and business executive, Michael always found time to undertake pro bono publico activities on behalf of the poor and disadvantaged and to share his Catholic faith with students. This scholarship is a need-based fund that supports an upperclassman who demonstrates a special commitment to ethical and honorable conduct and to community service.

  
  

  The Philip and Madeline Lacovara Endowed Scholarship Fund

  The fund was established by the sons of Philip Allen Lacovara; Philip ’80, Michael ’81, Christopher ’82, Daniel ’88, and Andrew, to honor their father on his 65th birthday. Jesuit-educated at New York's Xavier High School '60 and Georgetown University '63, Phil's uncompromising ethics, proud Catholic faith, charitable endeavors, and devotion to his wife, Madeline, and their seven children, including daughters Elizabeth (Georgetown Visitation ’85) and Karen (Visitation ’86), have inspired his family to live as “Men and Women for Others.” The scholarship provides four years of partial tuition support to a worthy student whose financial circumstances might otherwise prevent him from attending Gonzaga. Preference will be given to a student from Our Lady of Victory School, of which all of Mr. Lacovara’s sons and daughters are graduates.

  
  

  The Lawrence Family Endowed Scholarship Fund

  Rod and Lisa Lawrence sent their four sons, Jack, Ryan, Tyler and Carter to Gonzaga, and have been involved as a trustee, volunteers, and benefactors. The Lawrence family endowed this scholarship during Gonzaga's Bicentennial to provide tuition assistance for students in the Vinco Scholars Program.

  
  

  The William E. and Miriam K. Leahy Endowed Scholarship Fund

  This fund was established by Mrs. Miriam K. Leahy in memory of her late husband, William E. Leahy, Esq., who taught at Gonzaga as a young man during the 1909 academic year. The scholarship is awarded to a deserving young man in need of tuition assistance.

  
  

  The Fr. Raymond Lelii, S.J. Endowed Scholarship Fund

  This need-based scholarship fund was established in 2021 in memory of Father Raymond Lelii, SJ, who gave 43 years of service to Gonzaga as a devoted Jesuit teacher, mentor, coach and friend. Father Lelii lived a life of service to others motivated by a desire to transform all Gonzaga students into faithful servants of God.

  
  

  The Mariellen and Jerris Leonard Family Endowed Scholarship Fund

  This scholarship fund provides partial financial support for a student who has graduated from the Washington Jesuit Academy (WJA). Mariellen and Jerris' four sons graduated from Gonzaga, and the Leonard family has a long tradition of attending and supporting Jesuit high schools, colleges, and universities. Jerris served as Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights in the Department of Justice, where he worked tirelessly to desegregate public schools in the South. This fund recognizes his dedication to quality education for all students, his many years of public service, and his life-long commitment to help the less fortunate in our society.

  This fund was established in loving memory by their sons Francis ’72 and Joseph ’74 and other members of the Lively family. The scholarship is designated to provide financial assistance to a fatherless boy at Gonzaga.

  The fund was established by Jerome C. ’54 and Richard W. ’56 Loftus in memory of their parents to provide partial tuition assistance to a deserving student, preferably from Immaculate Conception parish in D.C.

  Established by friends and family of Noreen Lucey, this endowed fund pays tribute to her remarkable commitment and service to the young men of the Washington Jesuit Academy (WJA) by providing need-based financial assistance to Gonzaga students who are graduates of the WJA. Recipients exemplify the WJA ideals of having a willingness to be courageous and just in their actions, as well as active in their acceptance of God, their own gifts, and others.

  
  

  The Richard A. MacFarlane '59 Endowed Scholarship Fund

  The fund was established in memory of Richard A. MacFarlane ’59 by his wife, Felicite, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Francis MacFarlane, and other family members and friends.

  
  

  The Magis Endowed Scholarship Fund

  In honor of the patriarchs of the Rice and McNamara families, the children of Fred Rice '40, Martin McNamara '39, and Joseph McNamara '43 have joined together to endow a scholarship that celebrates their families' longstanding ties to Gonzaga as well as Gonzaga's Bicentennial anniversary. The scholarship fund name, Magis, is a Jesuit term that means always aiming for the greatest amount of good in life. May the future beneficiaries of the Magis Fund be men not for themselves, but men who strive for more in their daily pursuits. Magis Scholars are preferably deserving graduates from Sacred Heart Catholic School or The Washington Jesuit Academy, both in Washington, D.C.

  
  

  The Charles O. and Helen W. Magnetti Endowed Scholarship Fund

  The scholarship fund honors the memory of Charles Orison Magnetti and his wife Helen W. Magnetti, who believed in their faith and the power of education. Gonzaga provided both of these to their sons, Charles '68 and Thomas '71, and their grandsons, William Opdyke '84 and Anthony Kikendall '05.

  
  

  The Maier Family Endowed Scholarship Fund (NEW)

  Established by Gregory J. and Susan Maier, parents of Timothy '92 and Christopher '96, this scholarship provides tuition assistance to deserving Eye Street students who show an aptitude in science and engineering. Tim and Chris are founding partners of Maier & Maier, PLLC, an intellectual property law firm, and have invested into the family's fund through Gonzaga's Bicentennial Campaign. Tim's son, Matthew, is a member of the class of 2023.

  
  

  The Thomas Matan, Jr. Endowed Scholarship Fund

  The fund was established by Mr. and Mrs. Thomas W. Matan ’57 in memory of their eldest son. This endowed scholarship provides tuition assistance for a deserving student at Gonzaga.

  
  

  The Patrick T. McCarthy '94 Endowed Scholarship Fund

  This fund was established by the family and friends of Patrick McCarthy ’94, an alumnus who truly lived according to the Jesuit philosophy of being a Man for Others. In tribute to him, this scholarship is awarded to an energetic student who demonstrates good character through scholarship and sportsmanship, as well as consistently devoting himself to the ethic “a Man for Others.”

  
  

  The John B. and Elizabeth P. McDonald Endowed Scholarship Fund

  This permanently endowed scholarship fund serves to perpetuate the memory of John B. McDonald, Class of 1947, and his wife of sixty-nine years, Elizabeth P. McDonald, by providing need-based tuition assistance for students who otherwise would be unable to afford a Gonzaga education. As a student, John interrupted his education to enlist in the U.S. Marines to support his country during WWII. At the end of the war, he returned to Eye Street to earn the diploma he would cherish throughout his life.

  Established by John J. McDonnell '36 through his last will and testament, this endowed fund provides the necessary financial assistance annually for several young men who would otherwise be unable to attend the school.

  The proud son of the late Charles J. McHenry '48, Ronald McHenry established this scholarship endowment fund in his father's memory for deserving Gonzaga students.

  This scholarship is named for a family which has given much to Gonzaga. In recognition of the many gifts given to Gonzaga by Gerald, Class of 1944, and Helen, including their eight sons, financial assistance will be available to a worthy student.

  The fund was established by the Class of 1983 in memory of Father Horace McKenna, SJ, the priest of the poor, to support the tuition assistance needs of a graduate of the Higher Achievement Program.

  The Meyer Family Endowed Scholarship Fund

  Brigette and Paul Meyer proudly sent their sons, Chip Meyer '87 and Dr. Carl Meyer '90, to Gonzaga and their legacy continues through Charlie Meyer '22, Chip's son. The Meyer Family endowed the scholarship to celebrate Gonzaga's Bicentennial. The fund provides need-based tuition assistance with preference to the son or grandson of a Gonzaga alumnus and his family.

  
  

  The George W. Miner '62 Endowed Scholarship Fund

  This fund was established by Mr. and Mrs. George Miner in memory of their son, George II ’62, who died suddenly on July 23, 1986. George was a member of the faculty of Gonzaga from 1967 to 1969. This fund is intended to provide tuition assistance to an African-American student who wishes to attend Gonzaga.

  
  

  The Milan C. and Anne Grogan Miskovsky Scholarship Fund

  This endowed fund provides need-based tuition assistance to deserving Gonzaga students. Created during Gonzaga's Bicentennial, it was established in honor of Anne Grogan and Milan "Mike" Miskovsky, who sent four sons to Gonzaga in the 70's and 80's and were actively involved in sustaining the school during that time. Their oldest son was the first in a long line of family to attend Gonzaga, including their own sons but also numerous nephews, grandsons and great nephews. This fund was established to honor their devotion to Gonzaga, and in thankful recognition of the Jesuit education received by so many in their family.

  The fund was established by Jerry Graves ’71 to celebrate the memory of Carrie Moss, a loving woman whose faith, strength of character, and generosity will remain forever treasured by the Graves family.   The James Emerich Murray `44 Endowed Scholarship Fund

  This scholarship was established in 1990 by the estate of Rhea Murray in memory of her son, James, who died during his senior year at Gonzaga.

  
  

  The Dr. Michael Mussetto Ph.D. ’68 Endowed Scholarship Fund

  Dr. Mussetto was the Valedictorian of the Class of 1968. Inspired during his time at Gonzaga by Fr. John Woodward, SJ, Dr. Mussetto went on to M.I.T. and then earned a Ph.D. from Yale. In 2018, he was a lead benefactor of the Class of 1968's Endowed Scholarship Fund, which supports Washington Jesuit Academy alumni at Gonzaga. To celebrate Gonzaga's Bicentennial, Dr. Mussetto has established a scholarship fund to provide tuition assistance to deserving Gonzaga families, in honor of his formative years on Eye Street.

  
  

  The Christian W. Myler '95 Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund

  This fund is named for Christian Myler ’95, an alumnus who lived with fortitude and dignity and served our country with honor in the United States Marine Corps. To keep his spirit alive, his family and friends established this scholarship fund to be awarded to a worthy student whose parent(s) are in the U.S. Marine Corps.

  This scholarship is named in honor of a family that has remained steadfast to Gonzaga through the decades. James, Class of 1944, and Joan sent eight sons to Gonzaga, and in that spirit, this fund supports tuition assistance for a deserving student.

  
  

  The John and Thea Nardi Family Endowed Scholarship Fund

  The fund was originally established by Dr. John Nardi in memory of his wife, Thea. Funded by family and friends, the fund was re-established by Chris Nardi ’85 in 1997 to honor the memory of his parents, John and Thea Nardi, who were dedicated to the ideals of Gonzaga College High School. Thea served as President of the Mothers Club from 1983-84.

  The Giaimo family -- Robert, Kate, Melissa and Bret '10 -- established the Rev. Allen P. Novotny, S.J. Endowed Scholarship to honor Gonzaga's beloved late President, and his legacy of tireless dedication to the families of Eye Street. The Scholarship provides need-based financial assistance to young men who, like "Father Al," exhibit a spirit of faith, intellect, and humility.

  
  

  The Karl F. Nygren `44 Endowed Scholarship Fund

  Gonzaga's Class of 1944 left an indelible mark on Eye Street. In devotion to the Great Class of '44, in gratitude to former Gonzaga President Rev. Stephen Planning, SJ and in celebration of Gonzaga's Bicentennial, Mr. Nygren endowed a scholarship. The Karl Nygren '44 Scholars combine merit achievement with demonstrated need for tuition assistance.

  The Oradei-Bayz Family Endowed Scholarship Fund (NEW)

  Laura and Aki are proud of their twin sons, Adriano and Constantine Bayz, who are members of the class of 2020. The Oradei-Bayz are believers in Jesuit education, and established this fund during Gonzaga's Bicentennial Campaign in support of the Gonzaga Vinco Scholars Program, to ensure sustainability for this essential program and perpetuate the Gonzaga Spirit among Vinco Scholars on Eye Street.

  
  

  The Dominik L. Pettey '15 Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund

  This scholarship was established to perpetuate the memory of Dominik Pettey of the Class of 2015 so that a deserving student who could otherwise not afford the cost of tuition can realize his dream of a Gonzaga education. The scholarship gives preference to a student from the Fort Dupont neighborhood in D.C., home of the ice arena where Dom played the game he so loved.

  The Reed Family Scholarship was established in 1998 by Kevin F. Reed, Class of 1966 (one of five brothers who graduated from Gonzaga), and his wife, Colleen, the parents of four Gonzaga graduates: Daniel '92, Andrew '94, Brendan '99, and Steven '04. The scholarship funds are used to support the education of a qualified graduate of the Washington Jesuit Academy at Gonzaga.

  
  

  The Joseph Reyda '85 Endowed Scholarship Fund (NEW)

  This fund was established by friends and classmates of Joe Reyda, Gonzaga Class of 1985.  Until his untimely death in 2023, Joe served his alma mater faithfully as an employee of the school for over three decades, including as Athletic Director during a period of unprecedented growth and success in Gonzaga athletics.  A consummate Man for Others, this scholarship provides need-based assistance to Gonzaga students who exhibit the qualities that Joe exemplified during his lifetime, including humility, loyalty, sportsmanship, and love of Gonzaga.

  This fund was established in 2019 by the Rohleder family who lost their beloved son and brother. Eric loved his formative Jesuit education on Eye Street, with a passion for creativity, the arts, and writing.   Established by his family members, classmates, and friends, this fund honors the memory of George Shaffer ’55, father of Gerry '84 and Greg '89, now a priest in the Archdiocese of Washington. 

  
  

  The Stephen E. Shields '66 Endowed Scholarship Fund

  Established by friends and family, this fund is in memory of U.S Army First Lieutenant Stephen E. Shields, Class of 1966, who answered his country’s call to perilous duty after graduating from Gonzaga and the University of Notre Dame. A seasoned Cobra helicopter pilot, Steve was killed in action on June 20, 1972, in South Vietnam. His memory should serve as an example of what Gonzaga can send into the world. This scholarship provides financial assistance to a deserving student.

  This fund was established by alumnus Vincent M. Keber, III of the Class of 1986, in gratitude for his Gonzaga education.  It is intended to provide need-based tuition assistance to Gonzaga students whose parents serve in the United States armed forces.

  This fund was established by Larry Sullivan of the Class of 1955 during the occasion of Gonzaga's Bicentennial, in grateful recognition of the education he received on Eye Street.  The fund provides tuition assistance to students whose parents could otherwise not afford the cost of a Gonzaga education.

  
  

  The Rev. Bernard A. Suppe, S.J. Endowed Scholarship Fund

  This scholarship fund was founded by the members of the Class of 1952 to perpetuate the memory of one of their favorite teachers. The scholarship provides tuition assistance to a deserving student during his tenure at Gonzaga. Father Suppe was at Gonzaga from 1949 through 1952, teaching Latin, Greek, English, and Religion and serving as the moderator of the Aetonian.

  
  

  The Saint Teresa of Calcutta Endowed Scholarship Fund

  This endowed scholarship is named after the holy woman who brought her inspiring message to Eye Street when she delivered the Kohlmann Address in 1988. Founded by Sandra Andreas McMurtrie, former member of the Gonzaga Board of Trustees and mother of alumnus William McMurtrie ’88, this endowed scholarship provides financial assistance for students who otherwise could not afford a Gonzaga education.

  
  

  The John Thompson III `84 Family Endowed Scholarship Fund

  John and Monica Moore Thompson, co-chairs of Gonzaga's Bicentennial Campaign, trustee and proud parents to John Wallace Thompson (JT) '19, have endowed this fund to commemorate Gonzaga's first two-hundred years of educating "Men for Others." The Thompsons recognize the importance of education in elevating society and created this fund to support students with the greatest financial needs.

  The James `61 and Hildegard Vary Endowed Scholarship Fund

  This fund, which provides a perpetual source of support for need-based tuition assistance, was established by James Vary of the Class of 1961 and his wife Hildegard as part of their commitment to the Forever Gonzaga Bicentennial Campaign. It supports deserving young men whose families would otherwise not be able to afford the cost of a Gonzaga education.

  
  

  The Dr. Joseph C. Veith, Jr '40 Endowed Scholarship Fund

  Throughout his life, Dr. Joseph Veith '40 freely expressed his gratitude for the rigorous academic training and spiritual guidance provided him by the Gonzaga Jesuits. His exemplary devotion to Gonzaga would be reflected by the many members of the Veith family who followed him to Eye Street, including his five sons, six grandsons, two great-grandsons and numerous other extended family members. Dr. Veith's devotion was recognized by being installed into the Gonzaga Alumni Hall of Fame in 1982. His family's life has been intertwined with the Gonzaga community in many ways including a son who coached basketball for many years, a granddaughter who worked there, a grandson and granddaughter married in St. Aloysius, and a great grandson baptized in the Gonzaga Chapel -- not to mention the many Jesuits whose dental needs he took care of over the years. To honor their father's lifelong devotion to Gonzaga, his family has established the Dr. Joseph C. Veith '40 Endowed Scholarship.

  
  

  The Vinco Endowed Educational Fund

  The Vinco Scholars Program was originally established through the generosity of Vincent A. Sheehy, III ’46 and his wife Helen to provide financial assistance and academic support to deserving students.   The James C. Walsh '37 Endowed Scholarship Fund

  Established in honor or Dr. James C. Walsh '37, a Gonzaga scholar-athlete, gentleman, and faithful alumnus, this fund provides financial assistance for deserving boys who otherwise could not afford a Gonzaga education. The scholarship was established as a gift to Gonzaga from Lesly Smith, devoted friend to Dr. Walsh, on the occasion of his 90th birthday. The fund was subsequently additionally funded through a generous estate gift made by Dr. Walsh.

  
  

  The Patrick Joseph Warin Endowed Scholarship Fund

  Patrick Joseph and his twin sister Elizabeth Lane Warin were born on October 28, 2021 in Atlanta, Georgia. On their birthday, they peacefully passed away due to premature labor in the arms of their loving parents, Michael Joseph and Meghan Elizabeth Warin. Michael graduated from Gonzaga in 2004, and his two sisters were both Georgetown Visitation graduates -- Elizabeth Warin Thompson '95, and Patricia Warin Matsko '98. A companion scholarship in Elizabeth's name has been established at Georgetown Visitation. Although their lives were tragically short, Patrick and Elizabeth will be commemorated and their memories will remain in these two scholarships and with the young men and women who receive them as a reminder that every life, however short, is to be cherished.

  This fund was founded to honor Gonzaga’s long-time teacher of Latin and Greek who also served Our Lady of Victory Parish as Church Organist. This fund gives priority to a deserving student from Our Lady of Victory who attends Gonzaga and shows an interest in studying music.

  The Rev. John B. Woodward, S.J. Endowed Scholarship Fund

  A beloved math teacher for over thirty years, Fr. John Woodward, SJ shared his wisdom with countless students, inspiring them in the classroom and beyond Gonzaga's halls. Through the Bicentennial Campaign, alumni from the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s established this endowed scholarship fund to provide merit and need-based assistance to future "Woody Scholars" on Eye Street.

  Established in 2021, in the 200th Year of Gonzaga College, the Sr. Seton Cunneen, SND Service Program Fund honors the legacy of an extraordinary Gonzaga educator whose compassion and generosity on behalf of society's poor and marginalized epitomized the Ignatian ideal of service to others. Through dedicated leadership and example, Sr. Seton expanded the school's immersion service opportunities and while doing so, inspired a culture of social justice advocacy among her peers and within thousands of students and their parents. This endowed fund helps to ensure the continued growth of immersion service opportunities both in terms of the number of missions served and the number of students who can participate.

  
  

  The Michael and Kathleen Curtin Faculty Fund

  This is an endowed fund that supports a faculty salary and promotes continued excellence in teaching at Gonzaga. Michael Curtin, a former member of the Board of Trustees, and his wife, Kathleen, are parents of three Gonzaga graduates: Michael ’82, Kevin ’83, and Matthew ’97.

  
  

  The Angela D. Enright Teacher Fund

  The Angela D. Enright Endowed Teacher Fund has been established in honor and memory of Angela, a gifted pianist, organist, and music educator who believed wholeheartedly in the uniqueness of a Gonzaga education, and knew personally the value of competitive private school faculty compensation. Angela was sister of Raphael Dondero, Jr. '49, mother of Sean Enright, '79, Michael Enright '81, and Kevin Enright '84, and grandmother of Peter Enzinna '09 and Dalton Enright '23. The fund supports faculty salaries.

  
  

  The Eye Street Reserve Fund (NEW)

  Eye Street Reserve Fund was established during Gonzaga's Bicentennial and was supported by many donors with gifts of all sizes during that Campaign.  The fund is an endowed fund, the earnings of which may be used at the discretion of Gonzaga's Board of Directors, to address mission-critical needs at the school.    

  
  

  The Andrew Hamill '67 Endowed Fund for Athletic Excellence

  Andrew "Andy" Hamill of the Class of 1967 remembers with great fondness his days as a student-athlete on Eye Street. Funded with ongoing annual gifts in addition to a gift through his estate planning, this fund will help to provide the resources needed by generations of Gonzaga athletes to develop and perform at their very best.

  
  

  The Rev. Cornelius A. Herlihy, S.J. Endowed Chair

  The fund was established by alumni from the Classes of 1942 to 1950 and sponsored by The Forty-Four Club, as a perpetual endowment to support a faculty salary and promote quality instruction by highly competent Catholic teachers. Father Herlihy was the Prefect of Discipline from 1942-48 and taught Latin and Religion from 1940-48. 

  
  

  The Kilby Family Endowed Fund

  Established in 2018 by a member of the Class of 1953 in honor of his classmates and the lifelong friendships they forged during their time on Eye Street, this fund supports priorities of the school at the discretion of the Board of Trustees.

  
  

  The M. Christine C. Leon Performing Arts Endowed Scholarship

  Established by the family and friends of Christine Leon, whose son, Nicholas Leon '09 was a lead a cappella singer during his Gonzaga days. The fund benefits students who are active participants in performing arts programs at Gonzaga.

  
  

  The Madigan Family Endowed Ignatian Spirituality Fund

  The Madigan Family Endowed Ignatian Spirituality Fund is an endowed fund established by John ’68 & Marion Madigan, inspired by Fr. Leo Monahan, SJ, to enhance programs focused on the ongoing spiritual formation and development of administrators, faculty, staff and students of Gonzaga College High School.

  
  

  The Rev. Anthony I. McHale, S.J. Endowed Chair in the Humanities

  This was established by the members of the Class of 1957 in 1982 on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of their graduation.

  
  

  The Novak Family Endowed Fund

  The Novak Family Fund is a gift of Richard Novak, a member of the Class of 1983, and the Novak Family Foundation. The Novak Family Fund annually provides books and school supplies for deserving boys.

  
  

  The J. Thomas O'Connor '62 Endowed Scholarship Fund (NEW)

  This endowed fund was established by Tom O'Connor of the Class of '62, in grateful recognition of the teachers and administrators who influenced him during his time on Eye Street.   In conversations about establishing this fund with Gonzaga's Advancement Office, Tom would refer to it as "The Lunchpail Fund" -- reflecting his desire to have it help the school attract and retain hardworking, talented, and dedicated employees, who are devoted to Gonzaga and committed to the young men of Eye Street they serve.  In that spirit, this fund supports the salaries of longtime and devoted Gonzaga faculty and staff.

  
  

  The James Vary '61 Endowed Chair in Science

  This endowed fund was established by Dr. James Vary of the Class of 1961, in grateful appreciation for Gonzaga's role in instilling within him a lifelong love of science. Dr. Vary, a Professor of Physics and Past Director of the International Institute of Theoretical and Applied Physics at Iowa State University, created this fund to support faculty salaries in Gonzaga's science department for teachers of Physics, so that they might continue to inspire the next generation of scientists.

  
  

  The Dr. John C. Warman '57 Endowed Fund for Music and the Dramatic Arts

  This fund, established by the Gonzaga Board of Directors through the generosity of Thomas Egan, Class of 1949, and supported by friends of Gonzaga's esteemed Dr. John C. Warman of the Class of 1957, supports the ongoing tradition of excellence in dramatics and the musical arts at Gonzaga College High School.

  The scholarship was funded by the generous contributions of the Forty-Four Club, one of Gonzaga's most esteemed and devoted classes. It provides need-based tuition assistance to  deserving Gonzaga students.

  
  

  The Barnett - Maguire Annual Scholarship Fund (NEW)

  Tom '60 and his wife, Maggie, provide ongoing annual need-based tuition assistance for this fund for young men who are interested in serving our country in the armed forces. In particular, this fund will help military families whose sons are interested in attending the USA service academies. Tom is an alumnus of the United States Naval Academy '64, and their daughter is also a graduate of the USNA. This gift has been made in honor of Tom and Maggies' fathers, who were proud beneficiaries of Jesuit secondary education. Namely, Thomas E. Barnett - Brooklyn Prep 1933 and Terrance W. Maguire - Loyola College High School (Md) 1934.

  
  

  The Jay A. Bell '75 Memorial Annual Scholarship Fund

  Established as a memorial gift by friends and the family of Jay A. Bell '75 (son of John, Sr. '48, and brother of John, Jr. '72, Jeffrey '75, and Jules '79) this fund provides financial assistance for a worthy and deserving student who would otherwise be unable to attend Gonzaga.

  
  

  The Sean Boynes '91 Scholarship Fund

  Sean Boynes was a beloved alumnus who passed away in 2020 due to Covid-19. After graduating from Howard University, Sean returned to Eye Street to coach JV Football. Sean's charismatic charm, passion for the game, and love of his players inspired countless young Eagles to be winners on and off of the field. This current-use scholarship, established by his former players and classmates, will provide need-based tuition assistance to deserving young men.

  
  

  The Joseph and Rosemarie Corcoran Scholarship Fund

  This fund was established in the name of Joseph and Rosemarie Corcoran, grandparents of Owen Corcoran Early ('16), and intended for an outstanding minority student. Joe and Rose Corcoran came from faith-filled Irish immigrant families in Dorchester, MA from which they learned lessons they applied to all of their life about responding to those in need, whether in regard to education, housing, or improving urban neighborhoods. Joe attended Boston College High School and Boston College where he benefited immensely from his Jesuit education. This current-use scholarship celebrates Joe's wisdom, generosity, commitment, and faith.

  
  

  The Forte-Degnan Annual Scholarship Fund

  Established by Jeanne Degnan Forte in 2013, this fund provides annual financial assistance for three Gonzaga students (a rising sophomore, junior, and senior) who have successfully demonstrated high aptitude in the sciences. Jeanne Forte and her late husband, Albert J. Forte Sr., are longtime supporters of the Gonzaga community. Family members attending Gonzaga include G. Neil Degnan '55, Vincent J. Forte '74, Gregory T. Forte '78, Christopher D. Forte '02, Brian F. Forte '04, and Christian M. Forte '14.

  The Gonzaga Jesuit Community provides annual support to a deserving student in need of financial assistance as well as support for Campus Ministry programs.

  
  

  The Dr. Joseph S. Kozik Fund

  This fund was established on the occasion of the venerable coach's 75th birthday in lieu of personal gifts. Dr. Kozik was a member of the Gonzaga faculty for over fifty years.

  
  

  The Bill '57 and Beverlee Lehr Annual Scholarship Fund

  This annual scholarship was established by Bill Lehr '57 and his wife, Beverlee, in 1998, and has been continuously supported since then to provide financial assistance to a minority student.

  
  

  The James J. '53 and Edie Mulholland Scholarship Fund

  Initially established by Charles E. Trafton '86 to honor the memory of James J. Mulholland '53, a true man for others, this scholarship will also forever recognize and remember the years of dedication and joy given to Gonzaga by Mary Elizabeth "Edie" Mulholland.

  
  

  The Dick Myers Scholarship Fund

  Dick Myers spent nearly thirty years on Eye Street as an English teacher and coach of both basketball and golf. On the occasion of his 80th birthday in July 2022, his former students and players established this scholarship to honor a tremendous educator who gave so much to his students. 

  
  

  The Richard C. '54 and Jeannie Ridgway Annual Scholarship Fund

  Established by the benefactors of the Shepherd Foundation to honor the commitment and service of Dick Ridgway '54 and his wife Jeannie, this scholarship provides financial assistance to deserving students.

  
  

  The Rev. William F. Troy, S.J. '37 Chair in Religious Studies

  This Chair was established by members of the Class of 1956 in 1983 in memory of Father Troy, an alumnus of Gonzaga from the Class of 1937 and distinguished Headmaster of the College from 1952-1955.

  
  

  The Vary Foundation Annual Scholarship Fund (NEW)

  The Vary Foundation Annual Scholarship Fund was established by Michael Vary, brother of James '61 during Gonzaga's Bicentennial to provide tuition assistance to deserving Gonzaga students.

  
  

  The Corey Williams-Allen '00 Annual Scholarship Fund (NEW)

  Corey Williams-Allen '00 established this fund in gratitude to the Sheehy family for underwriting his Gonzaga education as a Vinco Scholar.  Corey is a proud product of Jesuit education, and following Gonzaga his undergraduate and graduate years were spent in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts at Boston College.  Gifted in celebration of Gonzaga's Bicentennial, this fund provides annual tuition assistance for a Vinco Scholar.

  The Dr. Michael W. '56 and Frank P. Fitzmaurice '50 Endowed Scholarship

  This endowed scholarship will result from a planned gift to Gonzaga from Dr. Michael W. Fitzmaurice of the Class of 1956 and his wife, Jeanne, to reflect their gratitude for the education and financial assistance given to him and his brother, Frank, Class of 1950, by the Gonzaga Jesuits. This financial support enabled both to get the quality education and religious foundation which is the essence of this institution. The objective of this scholarship will be to perpetuate the Fitzmaurice Family legacy on Eye Street by providing tuition assistance for generations of boys who would not otherwise be able to benefit from a Gonzaga education.

  
  

  Howard-Kilcoyne Endowed Scholarship Fund

  A future endowed fund through the generosity of William H. Howard, Jr. '68, a devoted alumnus who has graciously served Gonzaga in numerous capacities. This fund will provide support to young men whose parents have experienced a personal financial difficulty that would jeopardize their ability to afford Gonzaga for their son. 

  
  

  The Michael J. Kilduff '66 Memorial Scholarship Fund

  Michael Kilduff '66 was killed in action in Vietnam. The scholarship in his memory is a gift from his friend and classmate, Edward Murphy '66. Mr. Murphy is establishing the scholarship through a bequest; this is the second scholarship Mr. Murphy has established in this manner.

  This future scholarship has been created in memory of Thomas "Denny" Liekweg 1966 through the estate plans of his classmates and close friend Edward Murphy.

  
  

  The Hank Lilly '60 Endowed Scholarship Fund

  The Lilly Family -- Ed '58, Joe '62, Frank '64, Emmy, Dan '67, Maggie, and Martin '72 -- and their spouses are establishing this scholarship fund to celebrate the life and legacy of their brother, Hank '60. A Hall of Famer and star student athlete who quarterbacked Gonzaga's historic 1959 City Title Championship team, Hank returned to Gonzaga in 1966 to teach and coach. This fund is established in gratitude for his genuine enthusiasm and positivity.   

  
  

  The William H. Malloy, III Esquire '71 Endowed Scholarship

  This future endowed scholarship will result from a bequest from one of Gonzaga's most devoted sons, William H. Malloy, III, Esq. of the Sesquicentennial Class of 1971 to support a deserving Gonzaga student. The ideal candidate will be a boy of Irish descent from Northern Virginia who has persevered over chronic illness or physical challenges to always do his best. William served as the Alumni Association President from 2002-2004. This scholarship is given in gratitude for William's parents, Helen and William "Bill" Malloy, Jr., Esq, who served as President of the Gonzaga Fathers Club.

  The fund was established through a bequest by Edward J. Murphy '66, in order to provide a Gonzaga education to young men who otherwise would be unable to attend Gonzaga.

  
  

  The Franz-Josef Peus '66 Scholarship

  To be established through a bequest in memory of Franz-Josef Peus. A transfer student from Muenster, Germany, Franz-Josef was a lawyer by profession and training, but an academic at heart. Throughout his life he was committed to educational opportunities for students in emerging and developing countries. With a welcoming and inclusive spirit, this scholarship will be an opportunity for international students requiring financial assistance to experience a Gonzaga education and to continue Franz-Josef’s commitment.

  
  

  The Mary Ellen Whitcomb Endowed Scholarship Fund (NEW)

  This tuition assistance fund is to be established by the family and friends of Mary Ellen Whitcomb, a member of Gonzaga's staff from 1981 to 2001, during which she served in both the Development office and in Campus Ministry.  This fund both helps make a Gonzaga education possible for a deserving Gonzaga student, and honors her memory on Eye Street, where she was instrumental in the introduction and promotion of the Kairos Retreat, which countless Gonzaga students have experienced both during her time at Gonzaga and since.
