Track's John Dearie '24 Sets School Records in the Hurdles

On Saturday, April 13, Gonzaga hurdler John Dearie '24 set his third school record this year. The record time came at Towson University this past Saturday, when Dearie ran a 13.97 in the 110m Hurdles to break the previous mark of 14.01 by Aaron Shepperd '10. During the indoor season, he broke Shepperd's previous mark of 7.44 in the 55m Hurdles race with a time of 7.38 at the Jesuit Invitational on February 16. And on February 24 at the Roadrunners invitational, Dearie set the 60m Hurdles record with a time of 7.98.

And more records for Dearie may be on the horizon: on Thursday, April 18 at John's Hopkins University, he ran a 38.03 in the 300m Hurdles to climb to second all-time in school history in that event. He also sits in second place in the 400m Hurdles race.
