Derrick Aikens '20 Profiled in the Catholic Standard

Graduating senior Derrick Aikens '20 was profiled in the Catholic Standard this week. In the story, Derrick talks about his hopes for the future. He says one day he like to work to create affordable housing in the D.C. area--something he learned a lot about at Gonzaga, particularly in Ms. Katie Murphy's social justice class and volunteering for Campus Kitchen. "I have a duty, an obligation to the city, to give back to the community that has given so much to me,” Derrick said.
