Water Polo Goes 3-1 at Battle of the Beltway, Beast of the East Up Next

Gonzaga Water Polo continued its strong start to the season by winning three matches last weekend at the annual Battle of the Beltway tournament at the United States Naval Academy. 

On Saturday, September 20, the team defeated McDonogh (13-6) but fell in a hard fought game to Greenwich (8-12). On Sunday, the team rebounded well to defeat CT Premier (16-7) and Mount St. Joe’s (17-7).  

The team is now 9-1 going into this weekend’s Beast of the East tournament in Philadelphia. The Eagles will face Souderton on Friday, September 25 at 4pm at Haverford High School in their first match of the tournament.
