Track's Winston '25 Earns All-American Finish, 10 Eagles Compete at Nationals
Indoor Track competed in both New Balance Nationals Indoor in Boston, MA and Nike Indoor Nationals in Brooklyn, New York last weekend. The Eagles top finish came from Kelvin "Kainoa" Winston '25 in the 60 meter dash. On Saturday, in the preliminary round, Winston broke his previous school record (6.90) with a time of 6.88 to advance to Sunday morning's semifinal round. In order to make it to Sunday afternoon's final round, Winston would either need to finish in the top two in his heat, or be the one of the two next fastest times. He ran a 6.76 to do the latter and advance to the final on time. In the afternoon, he came down again in the final with a 6.73 to earn 6th place overall and Gonzaga's first All-American finish on the track.

In addition to Winston competing in the 60 meter dash at New Balance, he also competed in the 4x200 with his teammates Lincoln Shelton '27, Calvin Timm '25, and Lincoln Fisher '25. Shelton competed in the 60 meter dash as well, and Anthony Sarro '26 competed in the Championship 1 Mile. Click

Meanwhile at Nike, Will Buckley '25, Ian Catanzano '26, Kai Rock '26, and Teddy Fritz '26 ran the 4xMile while Ozias Tulloch finished in 12th overall in the Emerging Elite section of the 60m Hurdles. Click
