The Gonzaga Mothers Club treats the Gonzaga faculty and staff to a "welcome back" luncheon in the Lower Commons at the beginning of each school year. GMC volunteers decorate the Commons, serve a delicious lunch, and provide raffles and door prizes to the faculty and staff.
Students should report directly to the Sheehy Theater for the orientation assembly. The assembly is followed by a series of rotations, which include sitting for a yearbook photo. Each student must bring the Educational Device he intends to use for the school year to orientation.
Dress Code: Students must wear a collared shirt; khaki or casual shorts and closed-toe shoes. Sneakers are permissible.
Stone Photography will be on campus on August 20th to photograph all Sophomores and Juniors for the Aetonian Yearbook. There is no fee or registration needed to have your photo taken for the yearbook.

All freshmen and new students and their parents/guardians are invited to a welcome event on Wednesday, August 20th to kick off their time at Gonzaga. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet school administration, classmates and fellow parents.
The evening will begin with a welcome at 6:45pm in Sheehy Theater and then a picnic dinner on Buchanan Field.
Attire is dressy casual. Since this is a special event just for new students and their parents, we kindly ask that your siblings remain at home.
No RSVP is needed
There is limited parking on campus in the parking garage. Street parking is available after 6:30pm. Please consider car pooling or taking Metro.

The initial assembly is followed by various meetings around campus including educational technology activities and sitting for a yearbook photo. Each student must bring the Educational Device he intends to use for the school year to orientation .

Seniors should report to the Sheehy Theater to begin the day. Senior orientation now includes their Summer Service Seminar and a meeting with the College Counseling Office. Each student must bring the Educational Device he intends to use for the school year to orientation.

The academic year will start on Friday, August 22. We will have a special schedule to celebrate the Mass of the Holy Spirit and to allow all students to meet each of their teachers.
Formal dress day (dress shirt, tie, and jacket required).
Gonzaga clubs and teams hold bake sales in order to raise money for their groups. Bake sale are usually up and running by 7:30 am and continue until the end of the lunch periods. If you are contributing to a bake sale you do not need to send in homemade items, you can purchase your baked goods at any store.
