Spring Break Trips 2023 -- Enjoy the Photos!

More than 340 students took part in ten different trips over spring break this year! As detailed in the list below, we had one group go on a service immersion trip to Florida and four academic trips to Europe.  The Rugby program played teams in France, and four other spring sports programs trained and competed in different parts of the United States, ranging from San Francisco, California to Gainesville, Florida. Here are some photos from the students' many adventures:

Spring Break Trips (2023)

Campus Ministry Service - Apopka, Florida
The group worked with the Hope Community Center, which serves Central Florida’s immigrant and working poor communities through education, advocacy, and spiritual growth. 

Classics Tour - Rome, Italy
The group enjoyed sight seeing and adventure while visiting all of the historic locations Rome has to offer. 

Spanish Immersion - Seville, Spain
Each student lodged with a host family. The group learned about the about the culture and experienced life in Seville, Spain first hand. 

El Camino Class - Northwestern Spain
The trip was the culmination of an independent tutorial that the students have been taking this semester dedicated to the Camino de Santiago, an ancient pilgrimage route. The group hiked the last 100 kilometers of the Camino and continued to experience growth in their Ignatian spirituality. See posts from the trip on Instagram here.

French Club / Rugby - Paris, France
The French Club enjoyed sight seeing, adventure, and learning about the culture. The Rugby Program trained and had multiple games over two days of competition against some of the best high school teams in France. Follow Gonzaga Rugby on Instagram here.

Baseball - Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Crew -
 Oakridge, Tennessee
Crew had its annual spring break training trip to Oakridge, Tennessee. The Eagles scrimmaged McCallie Prep in Oakridge. You can follow Gonzaga Rowing on Instagram here, and find their entire schedule here.

Lacrosse - San Francisco, California
Lacrosse traveled to San Francisco, California for games against Sacred Heart Prep and St. Ignatius. You can follow Gonzaga Lacrosse on Instagram here, and find the full schedule here.

Track & Field - Gainesville, Florida and Valdosta, Georgia
Track & Field traveled to the University of Florida to compete in the Pepsi Relays on Friday, March 31. The Eagles then headed back north to compete in the Wildcat Invitational in Valdosta, GA on Saturday, April 1. You can follow Gonzaga Track on Instagram here, and find the full schedule here.
