Gonzaga Participates in Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice

Last weekend, a handful of Gonzaga students and faculty attended the Ignatian Family Teach-In for Justice at the Washington Hilton in Dupont Circle. An annual gathering of Jesuit schools and institutions, the conference focuses on the connection between the Catholic faith and social justice. The gathering features workshops, keynotes, liturgies, and opportunities for prayer.

After attending the weekend events, a group of students also participated in the Teach-In's Advocacy Day, joining students from other schools in front of the U.S. Capitol for a prayer service and public witness. After returning to campus, the students participated in a workshop with Ms. Shannon Berry on how to write letters to government representatives advocating for policy changes and reform.
