Cross Country Wins WCAC Championship

On Saturday, October 28, Cross Country competed in the WCAC Championship held at Kenilworth Park & Aquatics Gardens in NE Washington D.C. Gonzaga finished in 1st place, claiming the WCAC Championship!

Congratulations to the following runners who scored to earn the win:
2nd Place - Will Buckley '25 - 16:09 
3rd Place - Anthony Sarro '26 - 16:26
6th Place - Lucas Rohde '24 - 16:36
9th Place -John Hirko '25 - 17:00
11th Place - Matt Podratsky '24 - 17:05
13th Place - Kai Rock '26 - 17:13

"It was great to return another championship banner to Eye St, our first since 2019 but our 8th since 2008!" exclaimed head coach John Ausema.  "We scored a low 31 points against tough competition, probably our best overall team race of the season. I think it sets us up well for the DC championship and the Nike regional championship."
